Arab Spring
When will the powers of state (of any nation state for that matter), realize that today, Mankind is experiencing the dawn of a completely new historically specific era that has no resemblance of the past, but the dynamics of a new social being that is experiencing transformation by new technologies that are beyond anyones control? We cannot change human development history when the forces of change are in motion. The uprisings in the Arab world and anywhere they may occur as we experience all these technological and scientific transformations in our societies, cannot be held back or pushed under, whether we like it or not. They can be steered into different directions but the outcome is almost always revolutionary, that is, independent of our will or social being. So political regimes and all those who have influence over them, should study the development of human history and accept the inevitable. They can facilitate a less painful outcome for themselves but they will not stop the revolution or its resultant effects. In case they want to pursue a less transformative approach with the hope of curving themselves a more "favorable" outcome, or believe they can stop it, that won't happen. Instead, they will end up creating a more prolonged period of bloodshed, suffering and deaths. History will judge them harshly. It is time we accept the inevitable in order to avoid these calamities for the sake of human growth and development. Spiritually, none of us asked to come to this world. We found ourselves living here. So we better make the best of it and find ourselves the niche of human goodness without destroying ourselves forever
